Welcome to the PSGA page!

The Park Student Government Association, or PSGA, is the student government for Park University that aims to represent the student body. Within PSGA, we aim to act as a liaison between students and the administration, faculty, and staff here at Park. We represent the expressed wishes of the students by addressing and attempting to resolve student and campus issues in ways which PSGA deems necessary. We promote interest and engagement in, as well as supervise, general student activities related to PSGA. Throughout the year, we aid in funding both clubs and organizations with planning events for students as well as aid in special funding request to expand the experience of students. Every member of PSGA follow the By-Laws and Constitution set forth by the senators and student body.

Meetings are often held on Fridays at 12:15PM in the Louise Morden Board Room (across the printing center). Committees meeting are help in the same location following the General Assembly meeting. All students are welcome to attend!

“Serving on the PSGA senate has helped me grow in undergraduate beyond anything I would have thought imaginable. I would never have thought I'd be the kind of person to serve as a student leader, but here I am four year later as the student government president growing in my resume skills and serving my campus. ” – Raeven Brownell ( '24-'25 President)

“Serving as Vice President of the PSGA has significantly increased my leadership skills, helping me connect with an even larger portion of the student body. My role is unique in that if someone on the executive team is unable to attend a meeting, the vice president takes on their duties for the day. This has grown my organizational, communication, and strategic thinking skills, which will continue to encourage my growth in the professional world.” – Waylon Wright ( '24-'25 Vice President)

“I had an amazing time serving as the PSGA secretary. Having this opportunity to try something new and be part of student life was a lot of fun, and I made so many new friends and fun memories.”- Theresa Bender ( '24-'25 Secretary)

“Serving as the Finance Officer with PSGA has allowed me to grow in aspects that I would not have been able to attain elsewhere. I have exponentially strengthened skills relating to finance management and interpersonal skills” – Lynh Nguyen ( '24-'25 Finance Officer)

“Serving as the Technology Manager with PSGA has been an incredible opportunity to grow as a leader and problem-solver. This role has allowed me to enhance my organizational skills while directly contributing to improving technology access for all Park University students. Working alongside fellow student leaders, I have gained valuable teamwork and leadership experience that will serve me well beyond my time here at Park.” – Tara Haskamp ( '24-'25 TEC Manager)

"Serving first as a Senator allowed me to expand my connection to the Park community and allowed me to find a group of friends that take pride in improving the experience of all students. Transitioning to the Media Manager position allowed me to expand my leadership skills, commutation skills, and provided a new experience and opportunities." - Brianna Boston ('25 Media Manager)

Want to know what it's like to serve on the Senate?

"I am returning to PSGA because I love getting to be directly involved with what is happening on campus and having a say in what happens in the future. Additionally, I love meeting the people in PSGA and having a good laugh with them during our meetings. Overall, PSGA makes me feel like I am involved in student life on campus and that my voice matters" - Ashlee ('24-'25 Senator)

"I really enjoy the serenity of being around like minded individuals" - Jeffery ('25 Senator)

Hear from our advisors!

“As one of their advisors, being able to support the PSGA executive team in their work to amplify the student voice at Park University reminds me every day why I have chosen to work in higher education” – Molly Pierson (Advisor)

“Advising PSGA is one of my favorite parts of my job. Being able to watch our students engage with difficult questions and advocate for other students on campus is a great reminder of why it’s so important for students to participate in campus life beyond the classroom. Being even a small part of these students’ journey is so rewarding.” – Amanda Bryant (Advisor)
