Our Mission

The mission of the Park University Academic and Career Success Center is to encourage and help students achieve academic excellence during their studies at Park by helping them learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and become independent learners in order that they may engage in lifelong learning and better serve a global community.

Subject-area Tutors

Park University has tutors located at both the Parkville and Gilbert campus who are available to meet face to face or virtually with any Park student. Tutors cover a variety of courses and subject areas.

Study Groups

Tutor-led study groups are organized for specific courses each semester. Students enrolled in a course with a study group can join a study group session any time.

Walk-ins

While booking an appointment is the best way to reserve a time with a tutor, we encourage students who are hesitant or who are unsure what sort of help the need to drop by the ACSC any time. There will always be a tutor of staff member available to help.

ACSC - Parkville Campus

The Academic and Career Success Center is located in the first floor of Herr House (turn left after entering the main door).

We offer many services to help our students with their academic progress. All our services are free of charge to Park University students!

The ACSC offers specialized English language support for students whose first language is not English. You can meet with the coordinator of ELL support face to face or online to get help with improving your spoken English, understanding a class, or turning in better assignments.

What is it?

Learn to study smarter, not harder. Get motivated, set goals, learn how to effectively communicate with instructors and so much more.

Our mentors help students to get motivated, set goals, effectively communicate with instructors, and help guide students on choosing a major.

How do I get involved?

Park Peer Mentors is the opportunity to make a difference for new students. Mentors are grouped with a few mentees and connect at various points in the semester for one-on-one interaction and group sessions sponsored by the ACSC.

The opportunities here are two-fold…those who will “be a mentor” and those “wanting a mentor”…so there is something for everyone.
