The Tenure and Promotion Committee is a University Committee mandated by its charter to:

  • Provide advice and feedback on university criteria and guidelines for tenure and/or promotion;
  • Review document annually and recommend updates as needed;
  • Review tenure and promotion dossiers and evaluate based upon department, college, and university standards and expectations. Meet to discuss and forward a recommendation for each application to the Provost and President;
  • Provide feedback to the university campus on suggestions for strengthening tenure/promotion dossiers;
  • Participate in evaluating the non-reappointment of non-tenured members; and
  • Participate in reviewing sabbatical reports.
